Basic strategies create basic results.
Often times marketers are tasked with hitting extraordinary growth numbers.
Yet the growth plans they are executing are pretty ordinary and safe.
And therein lies the problem - the only way to achieve extraordinary results from a basic growth plan is by being the absolute best at whatever strategy you are employing.
That is not an easy feat. Markets are crowded. Everyone is doing paid, creating content, posting on social, podcasting, sending emails etc.
If you sell a marketing automation solution you aren’t competing with the other 300 companies selling the same thing, you are actually competing with all 10,000 martech solutions going after the same buyers.
So the easiest path to success isn’t to try and be better at running paid social than 9,999 other companies.
The easiest path is to do it differently. That could mean your creative, your offer, combining it with direct mail - really anything. And that’s the fun part - figuring out what can set you apart.
Look across your channels and strategies - how many of them truly stand out? If the answer is not many - there is your opportunity for extraordinary results.
